I have had some form of web page relating to <span style="font-weight: bold;">Flintshire</span>. But a few months ago I lost the ownership of www.flintshire.co.uk, a domain I had owned for some 10 years. However, that wasn't important to the powers to be.<br /><br />Dispite it not being due for renewal for over a year, Nominet (the .uk domain registry - or a government agency licenced to print money!) decided I hadn't filled out my registration correctly all those years ago and therefore decided to cancel my registration. On the same day the domain was picked up by someone else.<br /><br />I was not a happy camper.<br /><br />After several phone calls and consulting some London based domain name lawyer, I realised I was screwed. So I decided to register www.iflintshire.co.uk and actually do something constructive with it.<br /><br />So I will be adding stuff about Flintshire. Maybe even a bit or two about me and definitely some commentary on what goes on in Flintshire and beyond. Hope you can join me for the ride!<br /><br />Talking of rides. As the rain, sleet and/or snow is lashing my living room window, I'm wondering if I'll be able to get in to work tomorrow. This isn't as daft as it sounds. I live on one of the worst estates in Flintshire for impassable roads when it snows or freezes. And of course we have no grit!
